Moon: a review from Brain Pickings

After I wrote my last post on two lovely books about the moon, I headed over to Brain Pickings to see if Maria Popova had ever reviewed anything similar. She had, of course. I am hesitant to mention one of my posts and those of Popova in the same sentence, her’s being the paragon of thoughtful deconstruction and mine being, well, mine. I even had to change a sentence because I had said, “abiding celestial companion” and she had written, “abiding nocturnal companion.” The coincidence was too much to bear.

Nevertheless, the book in question, Moon: A Peek-Through Picture Book is elegantly described and photographed on Brain Pickings. Check it out. I know I will.
